Rep. Sena nominates Andree Lourdes Jean-Jacques of Shirley as a Black Excellence Honoree
BOSTON (2/28/2025) – State Representative Danillo Sena (D-37th Middlesex) nominated Andree Lourdes Jean-Jacques as a Black Excellence Honoree for the 2025 Black Excellence on the Hill ceremony hosted by the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus (MBLLC) at the Massachusetts State House.
Andree Lourdes Jean-Jacques, a local leader and resident of Shirley, MA, earned this award because of her steadfast dedication to her community. Her journey, from immigrating from Haiti to becoming a nonprofit leader and select noard member of Shirley, is a testament to her resilience and determination. Her work has positively impacted many, and she is always willing to help those around her, serving as an inspirational representative for her community.

Hosted by the (MBLLC), Black Excellence on the Hill honors Black trailblazers driving progress in cities and towns across the Commonwealth. Since its establishment in 1973, the MBLLC has been an advocate for empowerment and community development. The Caucus's work spans various issues, from employment opportunities and Affirmative Action programs to housing, human services, and economic growth.
